Privacy Policy

Applies to the Table Export extension for Chrome and Edge.

Last updated: 9 September 2026

The short version

Table Export collects nothing. It has no server, no account and no analytics. Your tables are converted inside your own browser and their contents never leave your computer.

What we collect

No personal data of any kind. We do not collect, store, transmit, sell or share personal or sensitive user data. We do not record which pages you visit, what your tables contain, or how often you use the extension. There is no analytics, no advertising identifier and no tracking of any sort.

What stays on your computer

The extension keeps two things locally, using Chrome's own storage.local, and nothing else:

Both live in your browser profile on your machine. Neither is transmitted to us. Removing the extension removes them.

Page access

The extension does not request access to all websites. It uses Chrome's activeTab model, which grants access to a single tab, only at the moment you click the extension's toolbar icon, and only for that tab. Before that click it can read nothing. It reads the table markup that is already rendered in that page, converts it locally, and discards it when the popup closes.

The one network request

There is exactly one, and only Pro users ever trigger it. When you enter a licence key, the extension asks the payment provider (Polar, api.polar.sh) whether that key is valid, and repeats that check roughly once a week afterwards. The request contains your licence key and nothing else — no page content, no browsing data, no identifiers of ours. Permission to make it is requested at runtime, at the moment you paste your key. If you use the free version, this permission is never requested and no such request is ever made.

Payment

Purchases are handled by Polar as merchant of record. Payment details are entered on their site and are never seen by, or passed through, this extension or its developer. Their handling of your payment information is governed by their own privacy policy.

Children

This extension is a general-purpose utility and is not directed at children. Since it collects no data at all, it collects none from children either.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the updated version appears on this page with a new date, and any change that affects how data is handled will be disclosed before it takes effect.
